Tight Budget?

By Travis Wright, REALTOR®, with eXp Realty

Finding move-in ready on a tight budget: get new listings fast, widen your search, look past bad photos.

Set up your search

Tell me your budget and get move-in-ready listings as soon as they hit the market.

The quick tip
  • New listings go fast. See them as soon as they hit the market.

  • Widening your search area can turn up move-in-ready homes you would have missed.

  • Bad photos can hide a great home. Look past the camera work.

Transcript

Finding a move-in ready home on a tight budget can feel impossible. It's not. But you do have to hunt differently.

Travis Wright here, with eXp Realty. Some of the people I talk to have already looked at almost every listing in their price range. And most of what's left needs more work than they can take on.

Here's what helps. First, get set up so you see new homes the minute they hit the market, not a week later. Second, look one or two areas over from where you started. Third, don't skip a home over bad photos. Some of the best deals have the worst pictures.

And yes, some homes in your range will need a little love. The trick is knowing paint and carpet from a real problem. One is a weekend. The other is a whole new hobby.

Reply with the word BUDGET, and I'll set up a search that fits what you can spend.
